Stena Line is the market leader on the Irish Sea, offering the biggest fleet and the widest choice of routes from Britain to Ireland, carrying approximately three million passengers on its Irish Sea routes each year, more than its rival ferry operators combined.

SPAA, the world’s oldest travel organisation, holds the awards annually to recognise excellence in Scotland’s travel industry and Stena Line has received the best ferry operator accolade a number of times.

Orla Noonan, Stena Line’s head of travel, Irish Sea, said: “This is a great honor for us at Stena Line. It’s always great to receive an award but this one is particularly special as it is recognition from our peers in the travel world.

“The Superfast ships which operate on our Cairnryan – Belfast route are prime examples of how modern day ferry travel has developed over the last decade to become an increasingly popular and luxurious way for people to cross the Irish Sea.

“On behalf of Stena Line, and all of our staff, I’d like to thank the travel trade in Scotland for once again bestowing this wonderful award upon us,” Orla concluded.
