Fire in Kildrum, Cumbernauld

The emergency took place in Ellisland Road at 8.30pm when a chip pan went on fire.

Paramedics were also summoned to the scene and 31-year-old man had to be treated for smoke inhalation following the incident.

Paramedics suggested that the victim be taken to hospital for more treatment but he declined further medical attention.
