Fire rages through Douglas flat
A TERRIFIED Douglas man saved his life by jumping out of a bedroom window as fire raged through his property at the two-storey Blue Tower block of flats last Thursday night.
Two firefighters were injured in the blaze, which also killed his dogs.
Martin Connor (27), leapt 10 feet to safety after being woken by emergency vehicles around 11.25pm, as firefighters arrived to deal with a major blaze which police believe could have been started by flames spreading from a living room candle near a television set.
