Firefighters help kids get on their bike
Cumbernauld Fire Station’s open day help raised £1700 for Redburn School – and firefighters have now handed over the sum to head teacher Sheila Kerr.
Mrs Kerr now plans to put the money to very good use, for something that’s a bit different too.

Hide AdAs some of the pupils have a physical disabilities, staff are keen to acquire bicycles for the pupils which can accommodate a wheelchair.
Station commander Eddie Finnieston told the News and Chronicle: “Staff at Cumbernauld worked tirelessly on this open day and were delighted to raise this magnificent amount.’’
