First building phase at Kilsyth development finished

THE first phase of the long-delayed Cavalry Park development on Stirling Road has been completed by contractors.

With phase one of the groundworks programme finished within schedule, construction work will now begin on the first batch of new houses.

Audrey Ross, sales and marketing director for builder Taylor Wimpey, said: “Cavalry Park is one of our most prestigious developments, and we’re delighted to finally be moving into a phase of works which will bring forward a fantastic range of family homes for sale in this beautiful North Lanarkshire town.

“Our groundwork programme has progressed well and it’s a real credit to the local team on the site that work has been completed so smoothly and on-plan.

“We’re looking forward to getting our sales information centre on-site to allow us to chat to potential buyers about the range, quality and styles of homes we’ll have available here.”

The finished site will include a woodland area and a ‘marshy glade’, which will provide a ‘green gateway’ to the development.

The Ebroch Burn will form a ‘green corridor’ through the development, while the plans also includes cycle routes, a pedestrian bridge over the burn and a play-park to utilise all of the natural features of the site.
