Forth charity’s cheque mates

Volunteers from Forth Breast Cancer Care have handed over a series of cheques totalling £5000 to good causes.

The money, raised thanks to the work of the volunteers in the charity’s shop in Forth, is given away every year.

And despite the current economic woes the people of Forth have dug deep to support the charity.

Lanarkshire Cancer Care, Breakthrough Breast Cancer and St Andrew’s Hospice received £1000 each while Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS), Clic Sargent, the Maggie’s Centre at Wishaw General Hospital and the Oncology Unit at Wishaw General each received £500.
