Fraser Binnie, Carluke, wins employee of the year

FRASER Binnie of Carluke has won £1000 — after being named a Kwik Fit Financial Services employee of the year at the company's annual awards.

The Uddingston-based insurance intermediary held its awards ceremony at Prestonfield House Hotel in Edinburgh, with over 250 guests in attendance.

Fraser (22) picked up the products department employee of the year award in recognition of his contribution in 2009 and received 1000 prize money, as did 36 other winners from various areas around the business.

Fraser, who has been with the company for five years, said: "Winning this award is a fantastic honour."

Top Scottish comedian Kevin Bridges, star of BBC's Live at the Apollo and Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, hosted the Oscar-style event, with further entertainment provided by Britain's Got Talent finalists, Signature, most famous for their Michael Jackson cover routine.
