Free family activity day at Palacerigg Country Park in Cumbernauld

IF you enjoy the great outdoors get yourself down to Palacerigg Country Park this Sunday for a fantastic FREE activity day.

The park is opening its doors between 11am and 4pm for families to experience activities including archery, orienteering, mountain biking, a climbing wall and model aeroplanes, all under the eye of trained experts.

Or why not join one of the farm walks and meet the rare breeds residents? White Park and Highland cattle, Soay sheep, Tamworth pigs, Bagot goats, Indian Runner ducks and Old English Game Fowl, to name just a few.

And if you prefer to be a bit more creative you can try your hand at sketching, drawing or another of a wide range of skills and crafts, including dry-stane dyking, stick making, willow creations or pole-lathing.

There will also be a falconry display and pony rides available, for which charges may apply.
