Fun for all the family at Vet School rodeo

This event, organised by students from Glasgow University Veterinary Medical Association (GUVMA), will be on from 11am to 5pm.

As well as making money for some great animal related charities, the rodeo also aims to raise awareness of animal welfare.

There will be over 30 charity booths on the day and children and adults will get the chance to meet a variety of dogs, cuddle some small furry animals and even hold different reptiles.

There will also be a dog agility demonstration and the chance to see birds of prey close up thanks to a falconry display.

Children can also enjoy games and buy some unique hand-made crafts.

All the proceeds from the event will be donated to the following charities: Horse Rescue Scotland, Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, The Trusty Paws Clinic and Students for Animals In Need.

All raffle proceeds will go to Riding for the Disabled.

This year, the rodeo organisers are also collaborating with Guide Dogs for the Blind Association for a special event.

The Dogs Unite Walk is set to be held not just in UK, but also in Australia and New Zealand.

Tickest cost £7 for sdults, £3 concession and £15 for a family (two adults and two children).
