Fundraising success celebrated
Kirkintilloch and Lenzie Marie Curie Fundraising Group returned to Smiths Hotel in Kirkintilloch, where the group was formed, for their annual fundraising dinner recently.
The evening was a great success, raising £2,282.25. In addition, the staff of Smiths Hotel (pictured with group chairperson Margaret McMurrough) presented a cheque for £800 which was raised during a sponsored circuit of Curves.
A spokesperson said: “This brings the total raised by the group since March 2013 to over £30,000. Grateful thanks to all who supported the event in any way and to Michelle and her wonderful staff at Smiths.”
