Gazette unearths the Glentaggart Stone!

ALTHOUGH The Mystery of the Baptismal Stone might sound like a Harry Potter adventure, it took far less than mystical powers to solve it.In fact, it took only a few phone calls by the Gazette.

Local historians were concerned that a Douglas Valley artefact, the Glentaggart Baptismal Stone, had been buried amid work at Scottish Coal’s mining operations in the area.

However, a call to Douglas and Angus Estates quickly solved the mystery – and put to rest the concerns of local historians.
