Get together for a fun breakfast

Schools, businesses, community groups and sports teams in East Renfrewshire are invited to join in with Big Scottish Breakfast.

The annual STV Children’s Appeal fundraising event which takes place on September 6, supports children and young people affected by poverty in Scotland.

MasterChef winner Gary Maclean said: “As a father of five and an educator in food, I have seen first-hand the difference a healthy breakfast makes.

“Too many kids go without breakfast and I feel every child in Scotland should be able to access a healthy breakfast each day and every day.”

STV weather presenter Sean Batty said: “I’ve had a brilliant time supporting the Big Scottish Breakfast over the last few years .

“I’m really excited to help launch the 2019 campaign alongside Gary.

“This year we’re determined to go bigger and better than ever, and I’d love to see schools, businesses and groups in East Renfrewshire join in with their own Big Scottish Breakfast to raise money for Scotland’s children.”
