Gil Paterson helped to build a Margo Mobile in memory of his pal
Milngavie MSP Gil Paterson has been busy this summer building the Margo Mobile with his old friend Jim Sillars, husband of the late politician Margo MacDonald.
It’s been a labour of love for the MSP, who was a great friend of Margo and is still good friends with her husband, and he decided to dedicate the summer recess to getting the touring van, fitted with state-of-the-art equipment, on the road.
Mr Paterson said: “It was hard work but worth every moment. Margo would have been chuffed that she is still in the front line of the campaign for Independence and I wanted to support Jim in his efforts to get his message on the streets throughout the country.”
The Margo Mobile will be touring Scotland between now and the referendum on September 18.
