Glasgow-based ethical letting agent up for five awards

The company has been trading since March 2013 and currently manages around 250 properties across the West of Scotland and the Central Belt.

It’s caring approach to providing housing to vulnerable and low income families has resulted in it being a finalist in both the Social Enterprise of the Year and the Social Impact Award categories of the Social Enterprise Awards Scotland 2016. Homes for Good has also been shortlisted for the Social Enterprise of the Year award as part of the 2016 Scottish Business Awards at Edinburgh International Conference Centre on November 17.

Director Susan Aktemel is the only Scottish entrepreneur to feature on a shortlist of six women competing for the Social Enterprise Women’s Champion category of the 2016 Social Enterprise UK Awards, the winners of which will be announced at a special ceremony in Covent Garden on November 28.

Meanwhile, Homes for Good Tenancy Support Officer Joey Lawrie is in the running for the Margaret Vass Award for Excellence in Frontline Housing as part of CIH Scotland’s 2016 Housing Excellence Awards, on November 11.
