Good news for Cumbernauld Academy pupils

A Cumbernauld Academy ski trip to France has been judged safe enough to go ahead on Saturday following a meeting with parents in the school.

The week-long jaunt to La Plagne in the French Alps had been hanging in the balance after the terrorist atrocities in Paris in November.

Head teacher Mark Cairns confirmed: “We’ve considered the guidance from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the meeting involved discussing a detailed itinerary of events. Staff and pupils are very much looking forward to the trip which has been organised through a reputable company with significant experience.”
