Graham adds more medals to his string of successes

Graham Law (13), whose dad Walter owns WL Computers in Kirkintilloch, clinched a 
silver medal at the recent 
Airth Highland Games in Falkirk and also won the best dancer trophy.

More than 2,000 people 
attended the games, now in their 144th year.

Graham started Highland dance classes six-and-a-half years ago.

He said: “I became interested in Highland dancing at the age of five when I saw a pipe band on Cbeebies television show ‘Take A Bow’.”

Since then, the talented youngster has notched up 
15 gold, 16 silver and 14 bronze medals.

He has also won six 
trophies and five cups.

Graham has also helped to raise thousands of pounds for charity.

He organised a sponsored highland dance-a-thon in aid of Arthritis Research UK and raised £650.

Arthritis Research UK is aiming to identify why Rheumatoid Arthritis 
begins, where it starts, why it 
attacks the joints, why it 
persists and how to develop new treatments.

Other charities who have benefited from his dancing 
include MND Scotland and Strathcarron Hospice.

He also helped collect £1,300 for cancer research 
by taking part in a Dancers Against Cancer competition 
at Dundee.

Graham, who is with Jenkins School of Highland Dancing at Falkirk said: “I 
attend class twice a week and practise at home every day.

“My dancing goal is to 
become a teacher.”
