Hampden in line to scoop top awards

Hampden Park has been shortlisted for a string of prestigious accolades at the Stadium Experience Awards which celebrate excellence.

The national football stadium has been nominated in three categories in the Stadium Events and Hospitality Awards 2016.

The sporting venue and its catering and hospitality partner, Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events, is up for the Non-Matchday Mystery Shopper Award, Matchday Hospitality Award (large stadium) and the Overall Matchday Hospitality Award, in recognition of its first-class private, corporate and matchday events.

Competing with a number of football and rugby stadia across the UK, the stadium will receive a mystery shopper style sales call before its entries are judged by an expert panel.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on June 2 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
