Hear your candidates at Lanark greetin' meeting

The six politicians vying to be Clydesdale's next MSP will face voters personally on Wednesday, April 27 at a hustings meeting in Lanark's Greyfriars Church, the latest in a long tradition of pre-election `Greetin Meetings'.

Starting at 7pm and chaired by Lanark Community Council’s chairman Frank Gunning, making opening statements to be followed by answering questions from the floor will be the SNP’s Aileen Campbell, Labour’s Claudia Beamish, the Conservative Alex Allison, Liberal-Democrat Jennifer Jamieson Ball and Independent candidates Bev Gauld and Danny Meikle.

The Gazette understands that all the candidates have now accepted the Community Council’s invitation to take part in the meeting.

The Holyrood election is on May 5.
