Hillwalkers descend on Symington to do Everest-Tinto Challenge

HILLWALKERS descended on Symington last weekend as the Everest-Tinto Challenge got underway.

The Challenge was for the walkers to go up and down Tinto seven and a half times - the equivalent of climbing the world’s largest mountain above sea level.

Many people decided to complete the challenge in teams including some from the COVEY Befriending Group in Lanark.
