House prices and sales up in East Dunbartonshire
From April to June, 419 homes were sold, which was an increase of 15.4 per cent compared to the same period last year.
The total volume of sales across Scotland increased by 8.1 per cent.

Hide AdMeanwhile, the average price of a house in the district rose 5.7 per cent to £215,142, and was also up from £210,051 in the first three months of the year.
This is significantly higher than the average price of a residential property in Scotland, which decreased to £153,102.
The official figures were published by Registers of Scotland, covering all residential sales including those that did not involve a mortgage.
The news has been welcomed, but the need for affordable and social housing has been highlighted.
