Hub. hub. hooray! for sport in Biggar

THE launch of Biggar Sports Hub at the town’s Sports Centre enabled around 350 people to participate in free 20-minute taster sessions of rugby, golf, athletics, cricket, football and dance on the outdoor astroturf.

With a portable climbing wall, information stalls, face-painting and a bouncy castle for younger participants, it represented an excellent opportunity to learn more about the wide range of activities on offer in Biggar.

“This event was very beneficial to Biggar because it was good to form a link between all the local clubs,” said Biggar Rugby Club development officer Calum Taylor.
