The male robber threatened the three female members of staff, aged 37, 44 and 45, with a bladed weapon and demanded money.

The suspect then ran out of the bank with the cash leaving the bank staff unhurt but extremely shaken. He was last seen running across Abbeygreen Park and onto a small bridge.

Thanks to CCTV footage, police are keen to contact, as potential witnesses, those people in three vehicles that were passing the bank literally as the suspect ran out. One was a blue Hatchback which drove along Abbeygreen in the direction of the motorway; the second a dark coloured estate car (possibly dark red / burgundy) which went in the opposite direction seconds later.

The third vehicle, described by police as fairly distinctive, was a green 4x4 with a white roof (possibly an old style Land Rover) which headed towards the motorway.

If anyone has information regarding the robbery then contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
