Hyndshaw Farm developer tries to allay dust emissions fears

A DEVELOPER has attempted to allay fears that extracting 36,000 tonnes of coal in a proposed redevelopment of Carluke’s Hyndshaw Farm could cause harmful dust emissions.

In a letter to Carluke Community Council, minerals agent Robin Caldow vowed that AG Land Purchases would omit all coal processing from the proposed stabilisation works.

He wrote: “This means that all coal won from the workings will be removed as run-of-mine product and will not be crushed or processed on site.”
