Inn on the Loch answers Lanark’s desperate needs

A LANARK business has been applauded for its help in temporarily solving a `desperate’ problem facing the town.

As reported in the Gazette previously, there has been increasing concern at the time it has taken South Lanarkshire Council to get the long-defunct public lavatories at Lanark Loch repaired and re-opened.

It was hoped that the facility would be back in operation at what is the town’s main visitor attraction for this summer season.

But the council is still “identifying funding” to carry out the £67,000 worth of works required and says that the repairs will get underway some time later this year.

The Loch toilets have now been closed for several years.
