Irvine’s bus boss hid fact firm was broke from government investigator

THE BOSS of one of our area’s major coach companies, Irvine’s, hid the fact that his firm was broke from a government investigator days before pulling the plug on its services.

Faced with a potentially huge fine for doing this, just days later he had the once thriving, Law-based company declared bankrupt.

The chaotic last days of Irvine’s of Law, which once ran 32 coaches on various public and school services around Clydesdale, have been detailed in a stinging report from the Traffic Commissioner for Scotland, Joan Aitken.
