It’s a Knockout comes to Douglas

Hit TV show It’s A Knockout came to Crabtree Park in Douglas earlier this summer, as six teams of six had great fun trying a range of activities

Event organiser Hazel Moule, chairperson of Douglas Gala committee, revealed that one of the highlights came when participants were tied to a bungee rope before racing along a piece of water-soaked tarpaulin.

She said: “That was a really funny event which everyone really enjoyed.

“Everyone who took part was falling all over the place.

“Two people at a time were on the course, and they were being timed as they attempted to run 14 feet while trying to collect water bombs.

“After doing their bit of the relay, the participants then ran back and tagged the next team member. The quickest team after all that was the winner.”

The bungee races summed up the lighthearted theme of the It’s A Knockout event, refereed by Charlie Mooney.
