It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Dozens of people throughout the area turned out for the traditional switch-on of the festive lights at Kirkintilloch, Milton of Campsie, Bishopbriggs and Lennoxtown.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon did the honours at Lennoxtown, while council leader Rhondda Geekie got things underway at Regent Gardens in Kirkintilloch.

Entertainment included fireworks and the crowd enjoyed the sounds of The Rock choir at Kirkintilloch.

As always, Santa Claus made a special visit, much to the delight of local children.
