Jennifer’s planning fashion show for children’s charity

A young woman is holding a fashion show as part of a national pageant to raise cash for terminally ill children.

Jennifer Glasgow (26) is competing for the title of Miss Charity in the pageant run by Torrance fundraiser Freya Taylor.

Jennifer, from Stepps, said: “To win the title of Miss Charity, every contestant has to raise as much funding as possible. One hundred per cent of the funds collected goes to the charity Make A Wish Foundation, which helps make dreams come true for the youngsters.

“Freya set up the pageant after she worked at Disneyland Paris and witnessed first-hand what the Foundation does. She saw how the children’s spirits were lifted when they met their favourite characters.”

Jennifer said: “I raised £200 when I took part last year and hope to at least double that this year.

“I have chosen to stage a fashion show in Adelaides, Bath Street, Glasgow on April 17 at 7.30pm.
