Jennifer had her head shaved at an afternoon in Auchengray Church to raise funds for the charity which supported her family during her mother’s untimely death from cancer.

“Feeling a bit chilly up top – Brr!” she said afterwards.

“However, it was great day. I was so nervous and shaky but tried my best to keep smiling throughout.

“There are still some sponsors and donation boxes to bring in but we are just shy of £3000 which is £1000 over my target so I couldn’t be more happy.”

And the braids from her hair went to Little Princess Trust which makes wigs for children undergoing cancer treatment.

Jennifer had a personal trainer who helped get her fit and lean before the shave!

“I was so very worried I would look like a little Buddha, round and bald!” said Jen. “But I think I suit the look now.”

Jen added that she appreciated everyone who had helped.

“Without everyone doing their individual wee bits we wouldn’t have made our amazing target, never mind exceed it so brilliantly,” she said. “Instead of just 80 hours Macmillan nurse time, we’ve made nearer 120! And that’s pretty cool!”
