Kevin Bridges speaks to the Gazette

SCOTTISH comedy superstar Kevin Bridges delighted his packed audience at Biggar Little Festial.

The 23-year-old, from Clydebank, shot to stardom with numerous TV appearances and a sellout show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival...not to mention a 9,500 sell-out performance at the SECC in Glasgow!

The 200 strong audience at the Municipal Hall was somewhat smaller than the SECC and what he is now used to.

However, Kevin was delighted to be in Biggar.

He said: "It's a great feeling coming back and playing smaller venues. There is a lot more crowd interaction and you get an instant reaction from the audience.

"I think this show has been the smallest venue I've played on this tour but I actually prefer playing in the smaller venues.

"Playing the SECC is fantastic but the crowd always seems so far away from you.

"Because it's so big it takes a bit longer for the laughter to get to the back of the arena.

"Next year I am hoping to play the Kings Theatre in Glasgow, which would be a dream.

"It's just a great feeling to walk out knowing that the people there want to see you and want to see you perform."
