Kilncadzow man Iain Macdonald completes West Highland Way to win RBS Caledonian Challenge

A KILNCADZOW man has collected his award after his team won this year’s RBS Caledonian Challenge.

Iain Macdonald (47) along with Liverpudlian Dave Smith (50) picked up their award after completing the 54 mile course over arduous terrain via the West Highland Way, north to south, and two ascents of Ben Nevis.

As well as winning the race in a time of 13 hours and 29 seconds the pair raised almost £2000 for charity - which was matched by the organisers.
