Kilsyth family fun day hailed a knockout success

KILSYTH town centre was the hottest place for youngsters to be last week, even if that wasn’t strictly true temperature-wise!

But the odd rain shower here and there didn’t stop kids turning up in their droves to enjoy Streets Alive, an event organised by Town Centre Activities.

The theme was designed to symbolise the International Children’s Games, with activities including a football skills test, children’s sumo wrestling, mini golf and face painting.

Real Radio presenter Ewen Cameron even turned up to be compere for the day.
