Kilsyth sees launch of ‘inspirational’ Africa book

AFRICAN Dream, a new book released this week by Kilsyth resident Suleman Chebe, sets out a step-by-step plan for Africans to pull their continent out of poverty and into prosperity.

Representatives from all the 54 countries in Africa joined locals in Kilsyth to celebrate the launch of Chebe’s thrilling debut novel which has been hailed by his fans as an “inspirational” work of art.

Jean Michel Nsoe, executive producer at Radio Kilimanjaro, Scotland’s first African radio station, said: “Chief Chebe’s provocative novel is destined to stir a new debate about the future of Africa and how we can unite to make progress in the 21st Century.

“The African Dream is witty, emotional and totally engaging from the first page. I believe that everyone with an interest in Africa must read this book.”

The guest of honour at the launch barbecue was Dr Charles Aryiku – the honorary consoler of Ghana in Scotland. He said: “Chief Chebe’s book the African Dream does address the issue of economic injustice in Africa. I believe it is an inspirational book to read and to carefully think about what each individual should do for Africa.”
