Kirkintilloch supermarket shoppers hold a torch for charity
A PIECE of sporting history came to town at the weekend.
On Sunday the London 2012 Paralympic Torch arrived at the Kirkintilloch branch of Sainsburys, with excited staff and customers taking the opportunity to take a picture of themselves with the famous bit of memorabilia.
The event also raised cash for local charity Whizz-Kidz - who support disabled children with advice and equipment.
