Jewish Care Scotland also took the opportunity to screen a new film highlighting the difficulties faced in the community and the support provided by the charity’s foodbank and hardship fund.

Chief executive Suzanne Neville said: “The money raised at the lunch is going directly to help people in the community experiencing hardship and crisis and to keeping the charity’s community social care services in place over the coming months.”

Fundraising manager Elspeth Campbell added a thank you to event sponsors, and commented: “We’ve had great feedback, and people really enjoyed the opportunity to gather with friends and family in support of Scotland’s leading Jewish charity.

“I hope we will be planning a similar event in the future.”
