Lanark and District Pipe Band takes New York!

LANARK and District Pipe Band took pride of place in the 17th annual New York Tartan Day Parade through the streets of New York City on Saturday.

It was one of about 40 marching bands which participated in the parade, led by Pipe Major David Murdoch, Lanark’s current Lord Cornet.

“We had an excellent time,” said David. “There was a large crowd watching and we had a lot of fun.
