Lanark and Forth up for Beautiful Scotland awards

TWO local towns are again shaping up to compete in the annual Beautiful Scotland competition.

Lanark and Forth have both taken awards in the past, and are hoping to do even better this year.

Judging was taking place in Forth on Tuesday as the Gazette went to press.

“We have actually brought in a lot of the community,” said Rena Whyte of Forth and District Initiative Group.
