Lanark Grammar pupils become ambassadors for Holocaust Educational Trust

Senior pupils Alastair McAlpine and Alex McCrossan are the latest from Lanark Grammar to become Ambassadors for the Holocaust Educational Trust, making sure future generations know of the horror.

Alastair and Alex joined up with scores of pupils from the Glasgow area to learn more about the Holocaust, in which six million Jews and minority groups were wiped out, listening to one of the survivors and then visiting the former Nazi extermination camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp in Poland.

Both had been before, as part of a large group from the Grammar, but felt this visit, with Lessons from Auschwitz, taught them much more.
