Lanark Loch playtime in record time

THOSE responsible for big public works projects like the Edinburgh trams, running years behind schedule and millions overbudget, have a lot to learn from a small group of Lanark ladies!

They are the members of the Lanark PlayPark Action Group which has, in the space of barely a month, delivered a £120,000 facelift to the town’s Loch play area.

This achievement is all the more impressive when you consider the group was formed barely over two years ago to address the growing problem of the town’s playpark equipment becoming unsafe due to wear and tear and vandalism.

For more on this, see this week’s Lanark Gazette.
