Lanark man Andy Marks completes trek to Machu Picchu
ALTHOUGH he was trekking through some of the wildest and most breath-taking terrain on the planet, the thoughts of Andy Marks were never far from the bedside of his desperately ill father back in his home town of Lanark.
As reported in the Gazette, 44–year–old Andy agreed to take a sponsored walk through the inhospitable Peruvian jungle in aid of Lanarkshire’s St Andrew’s Hospice in gratitude for the work it has done with his dad David, the popular Lanark Amateur Musical Society leading light currently battling cancer.
