Lanark Primary School Fever show

JUST two hours after workshops to learn dance moves and acting tips from three Scottish Opera performers, Lanark Primary School pupils gave a superb performance of what they had just learned.

Around 200 people packed into the school to watch the 90 pupils, from P5 to P7, perform Fever — a half hour show enhanced by expert singing from their Scottish Opera visitors.

"The children were incredible and enjoyed the show so much," said Lanark Primary depute head Helen Chekansky.

"On a scale of one to 10, the way they performed was a 21!"

The crowd at the PTA-funded show was also boosted by the presence of teachers and pupils of Carmichael Primary School, who have been decanted to Lanark Primary.
