Lanark Tablers Guy contest

WITH Guy Fawkes Night just around the corner, members of Lanark and District Round Table have come up with a new competition to drum up interest.

The Round Table’s Guy competition will see Moor Park inundated with Guys on Saturday, November 3, with the judging that afternoon.

The competition is open to schools and community organisations involving children of age 18 and under in the Clydesdale area.

The aim is help the children learn about the history of the Guy Fawkes celebrations, give them a team project and to attract them to the annual display, which will start at 6.30pm with the bonfire and some tunes from Lanark & District Pipe Band.
