Lanark woman Toni Dunn set to skydive for charity

FALLING thousands of feet at 120 miles per hour might not be the most conventional way to raise money.

However, that’s exactly what 23-year-old Lanarkian Toni Dunn will be doing later this spring as she raises cash for Cancer Research UK.

The challenge has a special significance for Toni as her mum Aggie (51) has battled cancer twice.

Toni and Aggie, who live in Braxfield Terrace, have always been close and Toni’s skydive, which will take place in Stirling in May, is just another example of that.

Toni said: “I’ve done charity events before, such as the Race For Life, but I decided to do something a bit different because mum has had cancer twice.

“I’m not sure exactly what height I will be jumping from.

“But what I do know is that I will be travelling at speeds of up to 120 miles per hour – it’s going to be a real rush.”
