Lanark woman Toni Dunn skydives for charity

JUMPING out of a plane and falling 10,000 feet isn’t our idea of fun but that’s exactly what Lanark’s Toni Dunn did – and raised over £1000 in the process.

Toni, who lives in Braxfield Terrace, travelled at speeds of up to almost 120mph and took less than five minutes to reach the ground.

But it wasn’t just for the thrill of completing the daredevil stunt; Toni wanted to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

And thanks to the generosity of her sponsors, the 23-year-old managed to raise more than three times her original target.

She said: “Originally I thought that I would be doing well to raise £300 so I’m absolutely delighted to have raised over £1000.

“I’d like to thank everyone who sponsored me.”

Toni’s inspiration for doing the skydive was mum Aggie, who has battled cancer twice.
