Lanark’s Ridgepark School for pupils with special needs to close

It and another school in East Kilbide will be replaced by a £4m purpose-built secondary school in Blantyre in the summer of 2013.

Councillors on South Lanarkshire’s planning committee last week approved the application by the council for the new Social, Emotional and Behavioural Needs school on the site of the former Calder House Social Work premises in Bardykes Road.
