Biggar, Carluke, Avondale and East Kilbride clubs took part in the event at Biggar Rugby Club.

Thanks to being highly popular, Biggar managed to field two teams and there was a lot at stake – for the men won the national championship at the Highland Show last year while the ladies were third nationally.

After a tough competition, Biggar held on to its honour, taking first and second place in the boys section with Carluke third.

Biggar girls also came out on top with Carluke second and Avondale third.
