Law Primary pupils get Olympic fever

PUPILS at Law Primary have been getting into the Olympic spirit thanks to a number of events taking place at the school.

The highlight for the pupils was the Olympic Torch relay which took place around the school and involved every child in both the school and the nursery.

The torches were made from tissue paper and cardboard and capped off an exciting few weeks of events in which all the pupils have learned various aspects about the 2012 Games and the Olympic movement in general.

Class teacher Carol McAulay said: “Every class in the school has been covering a topic looking at various different aspects of the Olympics.

“These range from the infants learning about London specifically through to the older children learning about the Paralympics, the ancient Olympics in Greece and the damaging effects that drugs can have on your body through looking at Olympic athletes.”
