Lesmahagow Farmer Society’s 2011 annual show

FOR the first time in 30 years in Scotland, pigs were shown at Lesmahagow Farmers Society’s Annual Show.

This was one of many attractions which kept the crowds entertained on Saturday.

The overall champion award went to the commercial heifer of TWH Farming, Redding Farm, Strathaven and overall reserve was the Limousin bull of I Nimmo, Bogside.

“The event went really well considering it rained 50 per cent of the time,” said show secretary Isabella Christie.
