Lesmahagow High pupils attend master-class with award winning chef Tom Kitchin

PUPILS from Lesmahagow High School have received a once-in-a-lifetime experience after winning the opportunity to attend a master-class with award winning chef Tom Kitchin.

The pupils met Tom at his Michelin starred restaurant The Kitchin, in Edinburgh’s Leith, after beating off competition from across the country to win a nationwide Eco-Schools initiative ‘One Planet Picnic’.

The winning senior Home Economics pupils were treated to a master-class on cooking skills by Tom and also received a behind-the-scenes glimpse of his restaurant, which was recently judged ‘Best UK restaurant’ by the prestigious BMW Square Meal Awards.
