Life of reformer is set for the stage
Glasgow’s Tron Theatre is staging a rehearsed reading of a play about political reformer Thomas Muir by celebrated Scottish playwright Peter Arnott.
The performance - based on the life of Muir whose family lived in Huntershill House, in Bishopbriggs - will take place on Thursday, May 22.
The play was one of the first written by award-winning writer Peter Arnott.
An annual Thomas Muir Festival takes place in East Dunbartonshire each year.
The 2014 festival event is expected to be held in November.
